I AM a Witch
If you're my Facebook friend and don't know, I AM a Witch.
Strap on your seat belt, the ride only gets more fun from here...
I was born a Witch.
To make it even more intriguing (as if more intrigue was needed), I AM a Christian Witch.
A Christian Witch follows and lives by the life and teachings of Christ.
My Tarot deck sits atop my Bible... I read both daily.
From the thousands of views on my Youtube channel and the countless comments, I'd say this a HOT issue. If you feel yourself heating up right now, this is for you...
First off, let's clear cobwebs:
- I am not evil or of the devil (I don't subscribe to the belief in a devil; the Witches I know don't either; the devil is a construct).
- I don't eat small children (nibbles on my grand baby don't count).
- I don't know what 'eye of newt' is (although I have nothing against it; some of my Witchy sisters use it on the regular).
- I don't live in a hut in the woods, and I don't turn green at night. I don't have warts, and if I did, I'd get rid of them.
- I don't work for demons. I command demons, just like Christ. I work for God.
Like Christ I AM about teaching, healing and pointing souls Godward.

Some say I can't exist, that there's no such thing as a Christian Witch...
yet here I AM.
Truth be told, there are more Christian Witches and Judeo-Christian Witches than you can shake a broomstick at.
An even greater truth to ponder: how would you know who's a Witch, if she/he didn't want you to know?
If you're the kind who's afraid of Witches (fear comes from ignorance), allow me to clue you in on little known secrets that may seem disturbing at first blush (yet could settle in as acceptable truths if you made just the tiniest space for it)...
A Witch could be sitting next to you in church.
A Witch could be in the choir.
A Witch could be the pastor.
A Witch could be in the supermarket line behind you.
A Witch could be teaching your kids at school every day.
A judge who's a Witch said,
"By day I sit on the bench, by night I ride my broomstick."
lol, gotta luv that.

My point is: YOU DON'T KNOW WHO'S A WITCH and WHO'S NOT... NOR SHOULD YOU.
It's none of your business.
I don't know which of my Facebook friends is Pentecostal, Baptist, Methodist, or Episcopal, or anything else they could be, nor does it matter.
Which brings me to the fundamental question here: why is there such ire, contempt, and/or rage, when we discover, unbeknowst to us, that a person is a Witch?
There's a one word answer to that query: FEAR.
More accurately, it's TERROR.
We fear what we do not understand, thus we've become terrified of Witches.

We were not always this way.
I AM especially concerned about the brothers and sisters who share my darker hue and who have adopted a complete, church-induced amnesia about our magical and mystical heritage. Isis is older than Christ, African Magic is potent and powerful, Frederick Douglass was freed from slavery by a hoodoo root worker and your grandmother probably healed you with pot liquor or something she pulled out the back yard.
By and large, we have forgotten our Magick. Worse yet, we have forgotten that it is inherent in every being. You were born with magic.

Hence my divine assignment: to be an Emissary of LOVE, TRUTH & LIGHT.
I AM only here for God.
This may shock you, but I'm not here for you. Nor am I here for people who say there's no such thing as a Christian Witch. To them I say 'ok' or 'thank you for sharing' or nothing at all.
I'm not interested in arguments.
I'm not here to convince anyone of anything. That's not my job.
I AM AN EMISSARY OF LOVE.
Christ asked one thing of us: TO LOVE.
He assured me that everything the prophets taught - and everything the Law tried to get us to do - is summed up in one ball: LOVE. He assured me that if I LOVE EVERYONE and have COMPASSION for ALL, I will have done my Father's good work.
Then he gave me and you (and anyone who wants it) a job: LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE.
It's stunningly simple and far from easy: TO LOVE & LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE.
One more thing... I'm a praying Witch (which I would have to be for this job to unfold in joy.... A job, I must confess, I DID NOT WANT at first, yet have grown utterly and sublimely in love with). My 3-part job is:

- to stand in my truth and share my story boldly, with all the honesty and purity I can muster, and to do it so unapologetically and elegantly that it inspires others to do the same. God gave me a holy boldness for being a Witch (which, trust me, I needed).
- to be a Bearer of Light & Bringer of Truth: shining the light of Truth on darkness and fear dissipates them. Darkness flees from the light.
- to free minds, hearts, lives and souls so that we can declare as a full realization: I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE.
That's it.
If you don't like the simple truth that I AM a Witch, take it up with God.
I've got work to do, and I'm on it.

It wasn't my preference to be a public Witch (to tell you the absolute truth, I'd rather read my Tarot cards in private and ride my broomstick at night). I fought like hell to keep it a secret. I thought that would keep me safe. Turns out the opposite is true, being in the broom closet is ANYTHING BUT SAFE.
I'm at greatest risk of injuring myself and/or dying when I AM not my Authentic Self.
Thankfully, God had another plan... one that requires FAITH, TRUST and COURAGE, HUMILITY, PATIENCE and ridiculous LOVE.
"Your mission, Valerie, should you choose to accept it..." (where have I heard that before)
To bring LOVE to the world, and especially to the word WITCH is a tall order. To free minds from being afraid, especially of the word WITCH is a task beyond what I thought I signed up for (and Disney is not making my job one iota easier).
I can't tell you how many people over the years have tried to get me not to call myself a Witch.
"Valerie, you're not a Witch, stop saying that... you're an "Intuitive Advisor"
or
a "Spiritual Advisor"
or
a "Priestess"
or
a "Prophetess"
My fear was being mirrored to me in the form of other people. Something in me wanted to make it pretty and palatable, less 'offensive', when, in all honesty, I knew deep down inside I was none of those. I AM A WITCH. Pure and simple.
The fear was literally screaming: "I'm not okay with you being so okay with being a Witch. Would you please be less of yourself so I can be more comfortable?"
Hell to the NO.
NEWS FLASH: YOU DIDN'T COME HERE TO BE COMFY. NOR DID I.
You came here to fulfill a divine destiny. As did I.
The sooner we get on board with God's plan for our lives (whether it be Witch, Priest, Baby-tender, Nurse, Pastor, Mother, Shaman, Artist, or ANY other destiny) the better.
The sooner we stop hating on other people who know clearly what their destiny is, the better.
Now, I can honestly and gratefully declare that I AM honored to be a Witch.

BE ALL OF WHO YOU ARE, WITHOUT JUDGMENT OR FEAR.
If other people are afraid of who you are, that's on them. YOU BE & DO WHAT GOD PUT YOU HERE TO BE & DO.
I AM.
God bless you on the path of Destiny.
